What you make while in training doesn't matter since its pennies compared to what you make when u get your own truck. I'd rather make less while training to make more when i get my own truck.

Those outfits meet you at the DMV the day of and have you drive the course a few times before the test; that's how they practice.

It included 1 hour of practice with a licensed cdl holder on the day of your test and as much ride along the day before as you wanted.

I think trucking will work for you,

Just make sure that you use the advance search button on here and do all of the reading you can (In between practicing the actual test that as previously mentioned are at the top of this forum)

I would also suggest you look into PRIME...... I don't have personal experience from that company but from everything that I have read on here it seems to be a pretty decent company, And just might fit your needs perfectly.

Good luck and keep us updated

The written tests for your CDL are a walk in the park. A little bit of study time and they are easy to ace. For driving experience a suggestion would be to contact any moving company in your area and get on as a helper. It shouldn't take long to find a driver to take you on. The work is physical but you will get enough behind the wheel time to pass the driving test. Once you do that ( few months) you should be able to hire on as a full time driver somewhere.
