I am wanting to go to a truck driving school, but I need a little help with everything lol. I can't pay for it myself, so it'd have to be company sponsored. What are the BEST companies to get started with I guess is my main question. I don't want to get burned or not get trained properly. Heck I already have a class A permit so I'm halfway there, I've literally never stepped foot in a truck though (ok - i have ONCE and it wasn't running. lol). The other question is are there any schools out there that will get me TO them and provide lodging and food? And I mean besides CR england, i've read some really bad stuff about them lol. A couple people have suggested I try Schneider National or Swift. I'm unemployed and have been for some time cause of this #*&(#$ economy, and I would like to get a career going to support my family with, I have a wife and three young children. I figure trucking is the fastest way to accomplish that am I right? I would HATE to go OTR but I know it's the best way to go starting out. ANY suggestions on getting started out the right way would be very helpful. :biggrin_255:
