Hubby has been with Crete for almost 7 years now, but we are seriously considering making a change. Can't seem to find a lot of info on this company. We drive national right now and would hope to stay that way. What is the starting rate for a driver who has over 12 years. Are you keeping busy?? Where do you normally run? Is it a lot of drop and hook... really need info. Thanks for all the input you can give me

I'm not sure of the starting pay...

We are very busy, so much so they're opening a new terminal in OH...

They run all 48 and Canada...

Not positive of % of drop and hooks, I think it varies with everyone...

Best things I like about company:
    - they treat you like a person, not a number
    - NEVER had a payroll issue
    - they repair anything ASAP when brought to their attention
    - dispatchers are friendly and helpful

    I hope that helps...

thanks for the info, how long have you been driving for them? We really hate to make a change but things are changing drastically at Crete and we can't afford to keep sitting.

    Yesterday made 18mths with them...

I'm sure you realize, with any company, someone will be happy, someone, not so happy...That being said, I think the majority of people here are happy...I'd also point to the forum and you'll find very few negatives or "BAD COMPANY" posts, that said a lot to me when I considered them...I didn't care if I found anything good on them, I was concerned with the bad and found very little and what little I found I didn't find to be a systemic "company" problem...

I sure do realize that. Hubby's been trucking for over 12 years and we've found that with Crete, a lot of happy drivers and some not so much. We've been with them a long time, but we're seeing changes that we really are not happy with. Not sure what we're going to do yet, but looking around. I've looked into them before and didn't see a lot of negative posting on here then either.

Now that you mention that, I have talked to a few people that have been here a loooong time and they seem to have the most to complain about(for lack of a better term)...I think that when you're at one place a long time, change doesn't always "feel good" as it may disrupt your rhythm, per se...When I talked to them and they told me of their concerns, they weren't things that would affect me as it was one of those, "you can't miss what you never had" situations...7yrs is a long time and as the industry changes and the companies adjust, it may just be time to move on...I wish you the best of luck and success!...

    sal Thanks this.

I tried to respond to your message but it wouldn't let me :biggrin_25511:... so do you run National or Regional?? We want to stay on National, if National where do you normally run? We'd like to eventually move to Montana which we couldn't do with Crete since we never get out there. What are your avaerage miles?
