    Hello people,
I've just registered in forum, before I read topics as a guest.
I have no experience of trucking, have 1 month experience of driving in the USA (15 years driving in another country)
Now I live in Philadelphia. can you advise me, will it be profitable if I buy Dodge ram 3500 of F350, rent a trailer and go for local transporting (MA, NY, PA etc)
I have NO cdl yet, what kind of car and what kind of trailer will be best for me at that time?
thank you in advance and sorry for my poor English

I'm going to move this to the Hotshot threads. They'll have some answers and advice for you.

If you don't want to get a cdl your only options would be a 3-car trailer made by Take3, the Ultralight model this trailer GVWR is 12,000 lbs plus a 1-ton GVWR 14,000 lbs that make 26,000 lbs combination GVWR. The other option would be a 2-car trailer which you will make little or no money.

I am not a citizen yet, but will have work authorization very soon, so I'm planning to start the business like that.
this total, combined, gross weight is unknown at this stage, but I'll find out.
I think 2 car trailer is unprofitable as User ast26909 told me.
So I aim to 3 car trailer not to break up the law an not to be excessive weight.

Won’t you need citizenship to obtain a drivers license and a CDL?

No you don't have to be a US citizen to obtain a DL or CDL. You need a SS number, residential permit if not US citizen or birth certificate/passport if US citizen .
Now go get a F-350 and a 3 car wedge and start making the big bucks.
    Welcome to America

I don't plan to start car hauling at this moment, first I'll do work permission and ss number and after that, I'll try.
