Here's an interesting news article concerning trucks from Mexico coming through El Paso. Also intersting is the comment within the article that claims Mexican trucks are either no worse - or in some cases better - than US trucks.

What are your own thoughts? From 10/2007 to 6/2011, there were 31,519 trucks and 625 drivers placed OOS. And this was just at the El Paso facilities. Is this, as stated by Rep. Joe Pickett, "in line with US industry standards?"

The article is from a Latino on a Latino website. He picked out all the positive things he could find and left out the negative. Can we say biased reporting?

American drivers will fear for their lives going to Mexico. ATA thinks it will benefit us? Do they ever do anything in the interest of the American driver? Ever time I hear ATA, it is something negtive.

They said there was only 1.2 million violations? That's 1.2 million more than we had before.

Let em come so Obama can reap what he sowed. Paying for their EOBR's and our side has to pay for their own is nothing but unfair. Why don't we buy them new trucks while we are at it? They can build their own at the Freightliner factory.

In other news, unemployment remains high while the stock market is in sad shape.
Obama is doing everything to erase our debt and restore our economy.
