Interior light switch

    The interior/dome light has 3 positions

    Apart from the top 'on' position what is the difference with the bottom and middle positions?

    I don't see a difference for positions 1 & 2 -- lights on when door open.
    Are the switches prone to going bad?

    Middle position turns on red lights near the floor. These have a tendency to go out so it ends up just being another off position.
