12 volts to solenoid shuts the fan down. I can’t seem to find a good fuse to start with. Would you happen to know which one of these fuses might share the power for the solenoid? 20D4E48D-113A-40A1-8EAD-2B463AD04A9C.jpeg

I found a wire I may suspect is for the temp sensor. Just a single wire that looks like a hot wire but can’t find a ground. Can I test this wire by putting 12 volts to it and will it move the gauge in the dash?

Looks like F2 should supply the fan. I wouldn't put voltage to any wire I wasn't sure what it was for.

Could I do the opposite and run power through the fuse side and use a test light to determine if the broken wire I suspect is for the temp sensor?

Here are the diagrams from Navistar for with or without A/C. F2 is the fuse that supplies the fan switch.
