International 7400 Air Ride Seats

    Im a 8 yr army vet trucker, and recently got a job with a contracting company in Afghanistan as a mechanic. Ive ran into a issue No one in my shop knows how to disconnect the darn Airline into the Air Ride Seat of this International 7400 Series Dump Truck. If someone knows please help.

    I think they are just quick connects. The fitting can be hidden sometimes, but should be behind the seat there somewhere. They unlock only if there is no air pressure in the line, even a couple of psi will make it hard. The body of the connector has a shoulder where the air line goes in. You'll see the shoulder kinda sticks out from the connector body a bit, about the width of a credit card or so. You push in the shoulder towards the body of the connect while pulling the air line out. It is somewhat awkward. If all else fails, I think they are just 1/4 air line, you could just cut it and then put in an air line union fitting.

    Thanks Heavyd Really appreciate it. Thing has been giving me trouble all day had to work around it. Rewiring the PTO and several other components. Made it kinda hard to work with but now I will be able to rock and roll tomorrow.
