I'm new to trucking but can invest $30,000 in a used truck. Let me know how you'd spend that! THANKS for any suggestions!
International Cascadia Evo, Kenworth T680, or Peterbilt 587?

Find something for $15,000 and use the other $15,000 to cover repairs when they arise.
Then, once you build up some more cash running hard, you can buy something nicer a year or two from now. Starting out in something expensive, in today's freight market, with no experience, is a quick route to bankruptcy.HopeOverMope, Dharok, RERM and 1 other person Thank this. -

Unless it's a 377 or T600. But even then, with elogs coming in, those are probably all being snatched up now.
EDIT: Fancy that, they do exist!

For 15 heck no you'll pay for quality, but 30 yes if you look around there out there.

Im in the same boat with about 40k... seems to be plenty of 587s with around 500k miles on them... somewhere in the 30k range... Thinking that cummins does have some EGR problems but as long as you keep that doser fresh the rest seems to fall in line...
