Is it best to go with your own moblie access or can you get wireless at a lot of stops in your truck?

I probally need to go back on the highway after my shoulder surgury an wanna take the computer with me. A lot cheapier then a cell phone!

Flying J and TA have internet access available on daily, monthly, and I believe annual plans. Some of the others probably do to.

A cell phone is highly useful, and you can get them quite inexpensively these days.

wireless access is convenient at the trucks stops, but if you're not at one very often like me, then it's not worth it. I'd go with verizon, at&t, t-mobile for mobile internet access instead.

I have had the Verizon wireless set up for a year now and am happy with it. I hav eonly had a few times where I couldnt get signal. I bought the one that plugs into the USB port of my laptop so I can take it with me if I ever get another computer etc..I think I pay somewhere around $70 a month for unlimited access, I think. My wife pays the bill at home, and its all our phones as well so I cant remember what the wireless alon costs.

I am trying to figure same thing I have found, verizon about 60 a month, Pilot uses wanderingwifi and it runs 149.95 a year, Idleaire is 129.95 dont have to be hooked to it just in the area. I am prolly going to use pilot cause that is where all our authorized fuel stops are, and our service centers have free wifi. So between the pilot and our terminals I should be good and its only about 12.50 a month, cant see spending 60 a month but might not 100 percent sure yet. We renew our verizon phones next month so never know might sign up with verizon then

You can use verizon any where you can get a signal just like your phone if you have to depend on the truck stop and terminal that is limited
