you will not be able to get true unlimted on a hotspot, they all throttle you down to less then 1mb after you reach a certain data limit. best bet get one of the unlimted phone plans, all 3 of the big carries have a no throttle data plan now, then get an app called easy tether, it uses your phones data. its the only way you will have true unlimted.

its not true unlimted, all those hotspots will throttle you after a certain data cap, at&t drops hotspots to 128kbps.

I put my Starlink deposit down on 2/12/21 and last week got the price increase email on Tuesday… then on Wednesday, I got my order is ready… yay the timing… by some stroke of luck my parents got fiber to their rural house instead so I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with this now.

Edit: linked in other post as well but I’ve heard about RVs using this: Unlimited High-Speed 5G Home Internet Service Plans | T-Mobile 5G Home Internet

Not an option “right now” but it is really something to keep an eye on for the future.

I’ve called on that plan and was told the service is tied to a tower. If RVers are using it, I’d be interested for sure.

So I ran aleinware r17. I used a nighthawk router. Then got a unlimited enterprise plan off ebay. They're anywhere from $80-100 per month. But it gave 150-180 speeds. I could play apex, WoW, stream movies. No problem. There's probably cheaper ways to do it. But I felt like I almost had home wifi in my truck at all times.
