Thanks GungHoGal,
I had better give IDC a call and at least let them know we're interest in driving for them. I've heard some pretty good things about Schneider, talked to one of their drivers the other day, he loved working for them, Maybe we could go with them for a year just to get the trained up and ready. The lady from the driving school said we will have many offers before we get out of school, so we'll see who's offering.

From what I hear, schneider has great training and is pretty decent to work for. Really the only company that i would really seriously avoid is England. They use very inexperience drivers as trainers and that to me is just seriously messed up

Interstate has some bad cashflow problems. I WAS a contract carrier for them for over 3 yrs.and they quit paying over 4 months ago. They owe me thousands and thousands of dollars. I'm NOT the only one that they owe either. There are owners out there that they owe over $100,000 to.
STAY AWAY from Interstate Dist. Tacoma Wa. -
The dispatcher, who I'll only identify as "Chris" had a history of screwing with me and my loads. I was in our Arkansas yard, my mother was in Pennsylvania. My family told me to get there within the next few days, so a planner at Interstate got me a load to a place nearby where I could rent a car and drive 40 miles home. It was great... except...
Chris took the load from me and gave me a load to the west coast... I could not refuse it. My best friend, who I'd known for years before I ever got him hired on at Interstate, suddenly came to me and said... "Hey, isn't this the load they just gave you to get you to your parent's house?" I said, "Yes it is." He said, "They just gave it to me. You better go look at you messages."
My computer showed that Chris had taken the load from me and given it to my friend, giving me a load going in the opposite direction, to Oregon. When I questioned Chris, the only answer he would give me was "It has something to do with hours available."
My friend and I talked about this and neither of us could understand Chris' statement. Both of our hours available showed plenty of hours available to run any load. It was typical of the treatment I got from Chris, and from a few other dispatchers in the company.
Not allowed to refuse the load, I made it as far as our Henderson, Colorado yard. On the way there I got a call from my family that Mom was going to die within 24 hours. I put the load down at Henderson, and talked with Chris' superiors. I stated that this is another example of how Chris had been treating me since he became my dispatcher when I returned from China from a mission trip just a month before, and that he had done this as a personal attack on me, that Interstate was responsible for paying for my airfare based on Chris' harassment toward me. They said that since I accepted the load, regardless that it was forced dispatch, they would not be able to pay for an emergency ticket to my Mom's. I had to pay for it out of pocket. My mother died hours after I got there and wasn't able to talk to me. Thanks, Chris.
A dispatcher started to threaten me, to get me fired, if I didn't run illegally, when I first started working for that company. I got her suspended for two weeks, and she harassed me and started a false file on me (I saw it and have photocopies of it) that dispatchers see when they look up my truck. It tells them how to treat me. The third time that the female dispatcher tried to force me to run illegally, I refused to run, and this time there was enough evidence that she got fired. That started a snowball of false filings in my profile that they tried to get rid of me but couldn't.
There are so many bad things about how they treated me and many of their employees that I cannot ever imagine working for them again, and as they are about to shut down due to company problems, I am certain this is karma coming back around. I won't bother to comment any more on this subject, nor will I post any more examples of their mistreatment of me. Karma has happened, so it's a mute issue now.scottied67 Thanks this. -

There are terrible problems at IDC that were there way before I ever joined the company. They had a "telling the truth" problem and harassment of drivers way before I was ever there. It was good at times but now they are sinking... karma has a way of returning. I won't go into the many, many problems I encountered when I was there with them, I only mentioned one of them in other posts, how they treated me like crap when my mother died. Interstate Distributor Co. went from decent to terrible in the 5 years I was there. You will never get your money they owe you as they are in bankruptcy now. The bank owns them and is operating them since summer after they took over when the embezzlement caused them to be taken over by their creditors.
