Guess you could call it a train wreck without the rails, I actually have been there but it's been a few years. Not a good thing for commuters especially, and rerouting around that would be a big headache.

Every one knows that when you hook up you pull on the pin... and if you have been sitting for a while you do it again.... because there are people who enjoy messing with the handle on the fifth wheel.

most swift trucks have flat 5th wheels, not unhooked ones.. they need to get their lazy buts out once in a while and check the air preasure in them:biggrin_2558:

argh! I wanted to reach through the video and strangle those reporters.. That's not a "train" , it's a locomotive.

All one can do is hope there was no driver error. They did mention the possibility of mechanical failure - maybe the kingpin went away.

What is the kingpin rated # anyway?

Heavy haulers do they have heavier kingpins on their trailers?

And of all places for it to come apart........right next to a bridge pillar:biggrin_2554:

HEY, is this a conspiracy theory time.....HAHAHAHA:biggrin_25523:
