Guess you could call it a train wreck without the rails, I actually have been there but it's been a few years. Not a good thing for commuters especially, and rerouting around that would be a big headache.
-
Thank goodness no one got hurt or killed. The insurance company isn't gonna like the bill when they get done with this one.....
-
Every one knows that when you hook up you pull on the pin... and if you have been sitting for a while you do it again.... because there are people who enjoy messing with the handle on the fifth wheel.
-
I guess I'll go ahead and say before anyone else does.............
Was it a swift trainee.............
I just needed a good laugh today............... -
most swift trucks have flat 5th wheels, not unhooked ones.. they need to get their lazy buts out once in a while and check the air preasure in them
-
argh! I wanted to reach through the video and strangle those reporters.. That's not a "train" , it's a locomotive.
All one can do is hope there was no driver error. They did mention the possibility of mechanical failure - maybe the kingpin went away. -
ok...........play aside.
This is a sad situation, like somone said,
I also do hope it is not driver error...........
Their are alot of mad people in that area...................
What is the kingpin rated # anyway?
Heavy haulers do they have heavier kingpins on their trailers?
And of all places for it to come apart........right next to a bridge pillar
HEY, is this a conspiracy theory time.....HAHAHAHA -
Please forgive me for using the word (stupit) but why arn't driver's double checking fifth wheels before they start to drive, how much more would it take from your lunch.
