Has anyone here done it and did it crush the amount of runs available to you? I am just tossing it around. I really like the diversity of stuff I do but someday maybe just Ohio.

Where I'm at running local for me would mean interstate because I'm 20 miles from AL, 50 miles from GA, 115 miles from KY, and about 125 from MS. Lots of local area freight to and from those areas. You need to tap into your local area to know if its worth it or not. Around here on the spot sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
whoopNride and Mattflat362 Thank this. -
I havent left Ohio since 2013. Im still here. I does cut down on some runs. But I still turn down a few loads a week. its ok

Ohio would seem to be a good state to do Intra only. There seems to always be short hauls there.
Like Rollin Coal, I am too close to Al,TN,Ar borders for it to work for me.Mattflat362 Thanks this. -
Well think about this....you're in Westwood, Oh. and you can see Ashland, Ky. across the river, BUT, you can't go there because you're "intra". Same with Martins Ferry, so close to Wheeling, W.V. but again, you're "intra". I would re-consider.

Well with intra, no ifta, licence plate is abit cheaper, no dot entry audit, your mostly regulated by the PUCO, insurance is cheaper, and no log books. If you run the 100 mile radius. You can break the 100 air miles 8 days in any 30 day period. 9th day reqiures elogs. I have one deticated customer that is 60% of my work. That means I only have to track down 40% each year. Now if anything happened to them, I would most likley go back to interstate. I get a lot of days off too.
Mattflat362 Thanks this.
