Sounds like combo dock/driver. Dock first, driver second.

Everything is based of seniority. You might drive on weekends. During the week, you'll be loading/unloading or hooking/breaking sets.

Carlstadt terminal, and that terminal doesnt operate on weekends so that a huge bonus for me. Yea it is w dock/driverm they just have a fancy name for a dock worker i guess. See what happens, because I dont want to have to call at 6am everyday again like I did at Con-Way to find out theres not work. I cant afford that again

Just keep on mind, you'll still work some weekends. Not every weekend. It will more than likely voluntarily.

    Good luck though,

kind of like con-way was. I respect the seniority buildup but disagree with the flex call in thing. If you can't guarantee work for someone then don't hire someone.

They may use you as a back up driver if another driver calls in sick, also with the xmas season here, you may get more driving time in,you never know.

I turned it down. I might and hopefully be going to Alaska to work for Carlile, also applied for a low-boy position too. A friend I used to work with told me to look for something like a local dedicated since its work everyday. I don't like being an extra for call ins, I have bills to pay and can't afford not making a full weeks pay. Oh well we will see what happens
