About six months ago I bought a Cobra CB. At the time I was running local with a Freightliner day-cab. The radio worked fine as far as reception and transmitting are concern. I'd started a new job that is OTR in a 2006 volvo condo. For the past two weeks my CB had a bad interference and I had to turn the RF gain down about half way in order to stop it. The only thing that I can pick up now is anything that is less then a mile away.
This past friday, I had it on when I turned off the inverter that I had the fridge running on and the noise stop. So that showed me what was causing the interference. What can I do or get to stop the buzzing noise from the inverter? Any suggestions?

Get a "GROUND LOOP Isolator", you can spend upwards of $25 at a decent CB shop for one, or you can purchase basically the same thing at Radio Shack for 7 or 8 bucks.
Wire one end to the POS wire FROM the truck and the other TO the POS wire on the radio.
