My company puts 1500w Cobras in all their trucks. I've had no issues with them. Seems to be a solid unit.

Go to the head mechanic and ask him what size and type should you get and would he put it in for you. A $20 tip is a nice jester. That way if the truck burns down the liability is not directly point at the driver for crossed wires or something in that matter. Of course don't let him know that but he's the top mechanic and knows exactly how to wire them up.

i was looking more for types of inverters that are quality. the problem i have with talking to the company mechanics is a language barrier (my mechanics all speak spanish and i dont) so i have to go thru a 3rd party like a spanish speaking driver for example. already talked to the owner and he said whatever i wanted to add to the truck he was fine with.

well i was going to buy the inverter and the boss would pay to install it. then if the boss decided to get me a better truck he would pay to have it uninstalled. so i would have it to add to a newer truck or to sell it if he bought a new one thats already hooked up with a fridge microwave and tv in the sleeper. i got to admit i got really lucky with this guy hes a great boss and i think im making pretty good money and i dont have to do anything besides bump doors.
