    I want to get a 3000 watt inverter for my truck and at the truck stops they have the cobras and they are pretty pricey and on ebay they are about a 100 buck and was wondering if they ebay ones are junk thanks

    Get it new. Ebay is what you but is what you get. I know some one who paid for a lap top on ebay. And when the cpu box came , is was two bricks in the box not a cpu. They never showed the cpu in the pic, just the box of the cpu it came in. Ebay has changed since then. But it is a buyers bewear site.

    Truckstops will generally have extremely high prices. I would check Amazon to see what a decent price actually is.

    I have a cobra 1500, runs microwave, fridge, and cpap no problem.

    Wagan makes a few nice units (Amazon) or Thor Power Products. I got a Thor-2000 for under $200 and it is more than I would ever need.

    Stay away from Cobra junk and anything at a truck stop....Too much $.

    I have a couple of Xantrex units I own. I didnt want cheap, I wanted the best. Xantrex is OEM for TriPac these days. They have just been re branded, and relabeled.

    Personally, I wouldnt buy the largest. Bigger isnt always better. I would buy what fits your need. Why put undue stress on your batteries when you arent ever going to need it?
