Ever since the shop has put in a new inverter, my fridge makes a popping noise. Kind of sounds like the compressor is going to explode or some kind of relay is popping. It is still keeping things cold, but it just occasionally pops. Any ideas why?

Best place to start is connections. Make sure power wire is good and tight. Double check grounds. If all that is good I'd run the fridge off another power source, if it doesn't make that noise when on a different power source then it would only lead to something being wrong with the inverter.
