Proper inverter, properly wired, properly breakered ... in order to get the the TV, fridge and MW to work ... you just plug them in.

I have a cpap machine also. Swift will only allow up to 400 watt. They will install wireing free on company truck or mentor truck. You can always disconnect the 400 watt inside cab and connect a bigger one and it will run fine. Just don't get caught. Always hook the 400 back up if it goes to shop.

I haven't done this yet and don't plan on it. I'm going L/O in a few months and will get a bigger one then. Not taking chances getting caught as we can lose our job over it.

Be careful ... wiring spec for a 400 watt is not the same as the wiring spec for a larger inverter.

Yes I know. There are two different wiring kits available. The one for the higher watts inverters is also good for the lower watt inverters.

I don't plan on using any thing more than 400 watt in the company truck as I mentioned before.

And they're not inexpensive. You can get the Honda EU2000i on eBay for about $850. And there's the carrying of hazmat (gas) to deal with.

how hard is it going to be for them to find me a mentor with an inverter for my cpap, or would i be better off buying a small 200w plug in inverter and just using that with my mentor and then getting the 400w one when i get my own truck? I just dont weant have to sit around waiting for weeks, over the dumb thing..lol

Don't buy an inverter. They found me a mentor with an inverter. They will give you a letter that tells the shop to wire up to a 500W inverter into your truck. I think I will buy a Cobra 400W because I have heard they are good.

You will have to keep you letter at every change of truck, so they can move it for you.
