Ordered (2) with the July4th coupon code.

Going to put them in the APU battery bank for this 2020 cascadia with parksmart. They will be replacing 2021 Oddysey 31 AGM's that are at about 60% on the load tester.

Why buy those for APU? Lot of other batteries that work well with APU that are a little cheaper. Just a FYI I might pull the trigger on them as well.

These are a little cheaper and have the stuff to add for APU if already installed. Heavy Truck and Commercial Vehicle Lithium LFP Battery For Electric APU
This is what I would most likely get for mine when time comes.

Any lithium battery with a BMS is probably temp sensitive, I'd stay away from that if you mount it outside.
To try and heat them in the winter burns quite a bit of their capacity.
Better off getting an insulated box on the side of your truck to put them in or mount them inside the conditioned air space of your sleeper.

    Noted,

I'm throwing these in the APU bank along with (2) Odyssey31AGM's to "test" them for a three week run, as my APU is my highest draw during the summer. I'm curious about combining LIPO's and AGM's together, and see if everything plays along nicely.

If the LIPO's work with the charging system and play nicely with the parksmart system, then I'll probably move these two to the start bank, and buy four of the roadking offerings for the APU, as they are cheaper.

Someone should call Battleborn and get them to manufacture a drop in between the frame rails, mother of god, honking APU battery for freightliners. Something ridiculous like 30K CCA's in one big battery, lol.

You asked for a scape goat @Siinman, I'm gonna be it.

Ionic rates these to -4 and 110 degrees F.

APU installation won't matter as they will heat in a sidebox from discharged engine heat going down the road.

I think you will see that the LifePO4 batteries will drain into the AGM batteries. Not a big deal when running the APU during the night but might be a bigger issue when your truck sits without turning on.

If I was you I would just put them in the starting area and it will work better for you. If your APU is like mine it will help. My Starting batteries and EPU batteries all run at the same time until the starting batteries hit a spot and they turn off. This is one of the main reasons I want to add them into my system. Figure I would get 2 or maybe more for the starting and since they can run basically all the way down it would be perfect and never shut cab off. They also have built in Jump start.

I might pull the trigger in a couple weeks. Woke up this morning and had to lightly jump my batteries. Although they most likely just need to be cleaned and would had been no big deal.

For whatever reason I have to clean batteries (terminals/connections/bus bars) on my truck more than anything I've ever owned. Is this common on all trucks? I've never known.

On my last truck it was a regular thing as well. This one has not had any issues until lately. I gonna guess it is when the batteries try to work to hard and run down to far. I think I am gonna pull the trigger and go ahead and order those batteries. Had to jump the truck again this morning. Think I need to buy them before I get stuck with another set of AGM;s on the road.

Welp I just went ahead and pulled the trigger on 2 of them. Will see how they work and if I need to add another 1 or 2 I will afterwords. Will see when they come in and figure out what all I need to get them installed. I know I have a solar panel and not sure I can hook that up without changing the controller. It is a
ThermoLite® Solar Panel so I need to look up some information and figure out if it will work or not.
