iPhone 5S Unsupported device on 2014 Volvo USB port

Thats pretty common. Android has a habit of swapping there protocols for how devices connect to them. Some times the manufacture will changes things also. Apple who for the most part have kept things the same and control the everything so that its easier for manufacturers of head units to make them work.

I've had a 2014 and a 2016 Delphi unit in both my Prostars and they've worked with my Iphone6+, A Iphone 4s and an ipad air (But it couldn't keep the Ipad charged when I was using it as a GPS so I switched to bluetooth.)

With Apple and Android making carplay and android Auto this could change in the future if they started putting in more double din stereos. Though I'd miss my wallet holder.
