The latest update to the iPhone and iPad appears to have introduced a bug that causes apps and devices to freeze and crash.
After Apple released iOS 9.3 last week, many people who updated their phones and tablets have been reporting problems opening links in Safari, Chrome, Mail and other apps.

Clicking on a link leads some apps to freeze or crash. In some cases, older iPhones and iPads completely freeze up.

Apple has yet to acknowledge the issue, but customers in support forums say the company is aware of the problem and working on an update

    Ruthless Thanks this.

This is several months ago. I run Mac and iPhone but never install any updates right out of the gate. I always wait 2-3 weeks after the initial rollout before installing them, [and when I can get access to free and speedy wifi]

I'm on 9.3.2 and never had any issues that I could see.

I can't tell who requires more updates, Apple or Android. I have an Android pad that I use for app development testing that I fire up about once a month and it wants to spends gigs of data pulling down OS and app updates. But also, every time Apple pushes out an update, this often forces app developers to fix new problem areas in their apps in the coming weeks.

No, I know I can't update my iOS apps. Don't know about Android but I assume it's the same.

They should configure their network to allow full access during off-peak or slow periods, when load increases throttle everyone back accordingly and/or limit data consumption to a set amount inside of any 20 minute period following logon. Lot's of things they can do to prevent data hogs from ruining it for everybody. I can understand not allowing music/video streaming, but no access to lightweight app updates?

Issue is with the latest update a week ago. My wife's IPhone 6 and her bosses (same), but locked up yesterday, black screen. Hold power button down for 5 seconds and on boot up the app started a light show and finally booted correctly.

    Hey Mark?

By the way, when is RM going to release their GPS App on the Apple App Store? After all, you have one for Android... Would love to welcome it to Apple... :)
