hello my fellow drivers im a 37 year old irish man12 years of long haul experience in europe mainly reefers livestock ''some tilt work im sure anyone who listen's to world news must of seen the problems that are in ireland' the country is on its belly we were just about coping while the country was on it's knees but now it's time to leave ireland iv'e tried to the green card route ''i wonder do any companies in the usa advertise or lobby local or state goverment to bring foreign drivers to the usa.... im hard working dont mind staying out for long periods of time on the road as long as im earning'' do any memebers here know of any foreign drivers who drive truck what about some of the big carriers would it be worth my while contacting any companies thanks

We sponsored a nice gentlemen from bulgaria. He had to prove that he was not taking a job away from a U.S. Citizen. It took about two years, cost us and him lots of money. He needed special help from lawyers...
I would suggest contacting a law firm in the U.S. that specializes in this type of work.

thanks for the advice but as soon as you mentioned lawyers the shine kinda wore off but im still contacting companies

Wouldn't you be able to go to Canada without that much of a hassle? If so, you may want to consider going that way. You will still be able to drive over the road and hopefully have a much easier time getting over here.

Do you know what you're getting yourself into? The industry here is nothing like the European industry, and, for the double whammy - whatever experience you've spent driving with (I'm assuming it's also E+C or EC for Ireland) - isn't going to be credited to you here.
