Is $ 10.00 Per Hour bad for Local Home everyday?

I used to drive a small 20' box truck non cdl for the cheapest company in south Carolina and I started at $10.50 a hour.

You guys do not know the rural south....the average wage there for any retail job is $7.75 per hour. It is very rare to see any jobs paying $10 an hour. The rural South sucks for wages, but the OP has no other choice, as this is the best wage he will ever see in his area.

 

Its sad that drivers have to ask this question. That is a pathetic wage. A disgrace. Spin a sign around all day long on a street corner, stay high and make the same.

 

I had the impression 20 an hour was about the going rate. 10 is too low.

That is the kind of wage people in the South live on....it is pathetic, but that is what they pay. People in the South are poor, so a $10 an hour rate seems like a good wage to them.

Illegals will line up to take that poverty wage job. Keep in mind the average auto worker in Mexico earns only $5 per hour.

 

Your right it is lower in the south, but I drive part time and make almost 2x that. $10 no way.
