MicroBlue charges $2,500 to micro-polish and coat both of your rear ends parts.
They also sell wheel bearings already micro-polished and coated for $950 for 6 hub/3 axle tractor and $650 for 2 axle/4 hub trailer.
These are pricing quides and suggest you call MicroBlue @ 704-489-2216 for pricing and to anything special. I am going to have them do my tranny and turbo by the end of the year that is just part of what they can do.
As far as installation goes, my truck had 1.2 million on it and needed rear ends anyway. I did replace the front rear end a month ago with a reman one that the reman shop allowed my $1,000 for on trade for the new ones I put in that cost me $4,300 for the swap at my shop including trade allowance. My truck needed rear ends anyway.
Your shop can replace the wheel bearings while the rear ends apart too.
At 1-1/2 to 2 mpg gain, the ROI time is very fast.
Is 10 MPG Possible with a Fully Loaded (80K gross) 5 Axle Truck?

Fueled up in Dandridge, TN at the Pilot with 1,646 miles using 164.25 gallons for an average of 10.02 mpg that I feel was on a 10.2 to 10.5 mpg run until I swapped trailers in Indy.
The rear ends feel like they are still getting freer the more I miles on them I get so the break in period still maybe letting the mpgs keep getting better and better.
I have delivered the trailer I picked up in Indy to Charlotte today and picked up my dedicated load for a Monday delivery. This is the trailer I had the MicroBlue wheel bearings installed on and it pulled better fully loaded back to my drop yard than the trailer I bought back from Indy.
Can't wait to see how my next dedicated run comes out now that the rear ends are broken in more with the MicroBlue wheel bearing trailer on the fully loaded half of my dedicated run.98989, Scania man and The Challenger Thank this. -

i know a guy who have it in 99 124 420 euro 2 with many km
system is australian cost 3000 and use all of time 25% of gas he says he save 4-5L of fuel (based on different price of lpg but also little fuel savings
he report that truck performances are much improved officaly he get 300nm and 100hp but he says it can make wheel spin at 80kmh empty with trailer
he says that he can pass with 39ton in big hill his MAN 464 with 510hp which is well known as hill master with 30ton gross
holland /german system dont bring that much power and it use lpg only when you need power when cruising on highway it use only diesel and cost 5000 -
Scania man Thanks this.

Propane is not cost effective unless you can get a real good price on it in bulk supply amounts and it will be hard to do OTR buying at Flying Js or any truckstop that sells it to RVs.
-
He breaks the numbers down in that thread. Says he's saving 1.5 cents per mile the way he's buying it. I think you could buy in bulk amounts if you wanted to. Companies do it all the time. They buy it but don't take delivery of it until they need it.
Personally, I've got some plans in my head from a university experiment that would allow me to generate and use hydrogen instead. I'd like to build it and run the setup to see what the numbers come out like in operation. -
i have always wondered why most propane haulers hardly never use it on their own trucks?????
