i am local but from what i have seen on boards and heard from other people, that is NOTHING! Freight is obviously slow right now so miles are short for everyone but not that short!

1500-1800 is not an average, it's a range. but anywho, at those numbers, assuming you're not at the top of the pay scale at 4 years, let's say you're at a more realistic 37CPM. based on a 7 day week, that would equate to about $79 a day. if you were to figure an hourly rate, it would be about $4.30/hour. (7 days X 14 hours, time and a half after 40)
so, does $4.30 an hour sound good to you? you could probably make $8-9 an hour shoveling french fries. -
How is hometime included in miles ?
-
well i did manage to go home a few days each month last year...Geezzzz,
diff. not great miles, but it sure beats being jobless. -
I ran 900 miles on Monday. Drive 2 days take 5 days off. I guess thats ok as long as me and the truck are at my house.

Hell no. Sounds like more evidence that Marten is following Arrow.
-
sounds like something an illegal alien would be thrilled about.

.14 per mile per diem? What a ripoff! Want to prove that that is a ripoff? Go in and tell them you don't want the per mile deal but what the Government gives per day in taxes on per diem which is $58 a day! Watch them laugh you out of the office! How much are they charging you for the priveledge of getting paid per diem? HMMM
-
Per Diem is your right to be paid by the company for expenses incurred by living away from home.
This is tax free money paid out for each day you spend your money to live.
Please do not allow these low life companies to spin Per Diem as partial mileage payment based on the miles driven.
