I was promised that I would average $2,500 weekly at Perkins, but have yet to even see 2,000, and I was wondering are my expectations really too high, to net 2,500 or more each week.

Also since Perkins is not keeping it's promise I am looking to move to some place that will, and if it's allowed here, (if not then ignore this part, ok) I would love to hear about a few companies where one could make that type of money.

I am different than most I work hard for 5 months, never going home, and then take 1 month off all at once. I was wondering are others doing this as well, or am I just the only crazy one.

At 2500.00 a week that would be 10k a month net. That is highly unrealistic. Trucking does not pay six figures annually. At least not in general freight.

In order to net $2500.00 per week, you would have to gross around $5300.00 per week. While you can obtain $2500.00 per week, I would not want to see your log book :biggrin_2554: nor would the DOT...:biggrin_25520:. (speaking as owner op leased to a company)

Assumuing you are leased to them, $2500.00 should NEVER be a problem to reach. I can do that everyweek no sweat

    Sure it does... before expenses!

My best "net" where I am leased to for the moment was $2200 for a week. This was after fuel. This was running legal, but running about 6 days if I remember correctly. Of course, this doesn't take taxes into account.

I have some friends that run illegal as heck grossing over 5k a week.

In 05 when freight was a lot better than it was now I had no problem grossing $4000 in a week before expenses.

On a 70 hr log too.

A couple weeks ago I pulled an oversized load that paid to the truck before expenses $4317. The permits were on top of that. I loaded on a monday morning and unloaded thursday around noon.

The guys that haul serious oversized probably gross that in a day if not more.

Like this load that needed a push truck and 7 or 8 escorts I wasn't sure on the count.

It seems that some of you say yes $2,500 "net" a week is possible, but the majority thinks that I am out of my mind thinking to make that much.

So other than supersized loads, what companies are allowing you to make after expenses over 2k a week. I would really love to know, please.

I missed the part about the O/O in the title.

As for companies that pay that or more Landstar pays percentage of the gross, plus fuel etc, and you are pretty much in charge of your own destiny. Thats what I like, the freedom to do pretty much what I want to. Some guys at Landstar work for only half the year, sending in a log at min once a month to stay current in the computer system.

2500 is very realistic. I made that last week working 3 nights. I think I put in a total of 32 hours. But then again I am a Teamster. Even so come to think of it I know some guys pulling sea cans locally that bring in that much. I think they put in a lot more hours though.

Sharing the LOVE, OK... I am new to the forums but new to trucking.
our trucks are leases to BESL Tranfer. And we run RGN freight all the time, along with DROP's STEP's and Flat decks.

Unlike the (VAN) freight we do see $2,500 Days. But also sometimes SIT.

Cant move permitted loads in RAIN,SNOW,ICE,FOG ect.... Depending the permited load.

Their has been a week or 2 this past YEAR where 1 truck Net after TAXs, Driver and All COSTs Cleared: $7,000.00 ..

So, depending the freight $2500 PER week (NET) not Gross is very possible.

    All the best,
    Matthew
