The first time I was in Ca coming back on 80 (I think) I was driving an old COE that was just shy of a million miles on it, tip the cab and I bet the engine said Briggs & Stratton on it! That was a dog, Low range coming up that hill in 4gr I had to turn the cb off cuz all the ball bustin and I only had about 20K in the box. I would've loved to go 55

as all the others have said, no problem

however, should you be driving one of these..

then i'd say you'd have a MAJOR problem with 30,000 pounds.

Now where getting somewhere chompi that exactly right if your a huge company like swifte and you can save a couple of gal a day after 365 days that quite alot of savings if on the other hand your an o/o whats 1 gal its only $3 right so thats why the bigger companies are cutting back the fuel pumps and the speeds. The difference in fuel consuption at 60 mph and 70 mph is quite alot. Its just that some people get embarrest by having other trucks pass them all the time.

No, you don't need to be up front all the time. I've had the big Cats 550 & 600 Being in a Big Dog can go different ways..I chose to keep my rides looking top notch... And...30,000 is an okay load..Its enough to hold me down and/or gives you traction..A heavy load in a dry van can get up into 47,000..It all dpends on how heavy the total rig is empty..I'd say in the neighborhood of 00,000 #'s..
