Create separate folders (expenses, taxes, receipts...) on your email and keep keep sorting emails. They also have email manager. Can also save by taking picture and send as an email to yourself and sort into one of the folders.
Also, it always depends what tax you pay, for example if you filed and paid Form 2290 (HVUT) then it's receipt is a stamped/watermarked schedule 1 copy. And to file taxes, better is to use online portals, such as our company used to use www.form2290.com to file our 2290s. Where you can keep all your filing records form many years. Even if you misplace the receipt somewhere, simply login to your account there and you will be able to download it easily.
