Orr swap out high beams with lower wattage and run with highs
-
If your high beams work, just aim them down.truckthatpassesyouby Thanks this.

I'd ###### rig it, if I was headed to a company shop, otherwise I'd get it fixedGetsinyourblood Thanks this.

I may be dense, but in 2.5 hours of driving one is sure to pass some truck stops with replacement bulbs.
It takes all of 5 minutes to replace it. -
He said it was a wiring issue.
-
And a wiring 'issue' may indicate a short in the wiring. And one may have NO idea of where it is.
Is it smart to take the chance of an electrical fire and burning down the truck around you?
Is it smart to hook in other wires from another circuit to try and circumvent the problem?
I've gotta love these hot shots that just want to make the load on time.
Anything, at any cost. -
It is absolutely completely one thousand percent safe to remove the wires on one headlight and route another across from the headlight on the other side of the truck.
-
That's pretty much how most truck headlights are wired from factory. Usually the junction point is by the LH hood hinge and they run the harness under the frame or behind the grill to the passenger side.Hammer166, truckon and spyder7723 Thank this.

Exactly. But not all, some are on different circuits. But I'd still tie into one side to get the other working. head lights just don't draw enough juice to worry about offer loading wiring and melting them, and even if they did, the breaker would pop first.Last edited: Dec 14, 2015
