Iowa .. and if you were to try to farm plate it in this state you better have proof that was licensed pryor
I have a friend that farms has a Mack that he parked 4 years ago because it had a Automatic trans in it and was not Reliable ... he got tired of dealing with it and parked it..
He decided revive it for a lowboy truck.. went in to buy farm plates .. they made him.pay the Licensing fees for the pervious 4 years plus a fine of 180 per year that it was not licensed.. which cost him a total of roughy about 5500 to make it current
I know another guy that has a late 70's W900 that his dad let it sit for about 15 years unlicensed.. he got it fixed up to working condition was gona farm tag it to haul grain & hay .. went in to buy plates .. same deal it was gona be close to 18k.
Iowa gives a truck with farm plates alot of slack on things except.. plates and over weight tickets I'am pretty sure Missouri is the same way ..

Lol.. we don't have toll roads and our taxes on everything are pretty reasonable.. and if you flip sombody off or tell them to get F..d you better be well prepaired to back up what you said or did .. cause it's for real here
Besides the state does that for a good reason ..
I'am in support of their rules.. stop and think about it their Licensing fees are not outa line

Something wrong with how you work the system. Re-regisyering a truck thats been in your name and licensed before comes with having to understand and work the system. Registering a truck that you just purchased usually avoids lots of those headaches. Fines? He definitely did things backwards if they found a way to fine him for anything.

Its not a fine they call it reenstatement fees... the way this state looks at it is they think you were operating the truck during that time with no current plates
Trust me if you know both the guys I mention if there was anyway possible around it they would of figured it out..

Did they turn in the plates when they parked? If not that’s the first sign they aren’t that smart!

Cattle shifting position is like when Momma rocked the cradle. Have not hauled in years, but it is still hard for me to make a panic stop.
Look for an out before throwing everything down...It gets ingrained...

I guess you might not understand how a License plate works in the state of Iowa.. or whate the regulations are involving a farm plate in Iowa .. its not like a apportion plate
