    Hey there, I'm new to this forum and have used it a lot for research this past month. I'm in my last week of school attending Tennessee truck driving school and I'm trying to see if anyone else will be going to orientation next week for Con-way. I'd also appreciate any advice I can get, I've read a lot of day 1-7 post that have helped a lot too

    Welcome, pack as light as you can. Enough clothes for 5 to 7 days, gloves, flashlight, laptop, if you don't have an atlas and truckstop guide, get them while you are out with your finisher. You will need it all the day you get your truck.

    Be on time for everything and don't fall asleep when you shouldn't.

    Enjoy it, make some friends in orientation, the next 5 weeks will go fast!

    Ur in for a great ride. Just rember this is truckin miles go up and down. Trucks break down. Drive your truck like you own it so cut break downs in half. Ur truck is the opposite sex of urs or dependin on what u like. My truck is a girl I shift her nice and smooth and low rpms she slides right in!

    Thanks, there was a small hicup though, i gave them a heads up on my tattoos so i wouldnt be sent home and well Con-Way truckload doesent hire with tattoos above the neck
