Hey if any of you guys need computer work done cause your system isnt working quite rite, let me know. I can probably help since I build and repair computers for people. with the economy in the crapper though people aint buyin new so that buisness is down as well. not only that I cant compete with the mass companys that stamp out alot of systems in a short time. my systems are all made to order per customer specs. very high end. but will work on just about anything.
mceheel and kickin chicken Thank this. -
Hey guys. The Cartersville school is a good facility and the instructor there
really knows his stuff. He will help you out as long as he can. Sadly though
I voluntarily dis enrolled on Wed. It is way too fast paced for me. The
serpentine backing was killing me. I don't think I'll have a problem with the
90 degree or the alley-dock though, and it took me some time to finally
grasp those concepts. I am a slow learner but once I learn it I don't forget.
I am now at home deciding which private truck driving school to enroll in.
I am not giving up, but just trying to slow the pace of the learning process
I will be looking for a school that offers one on one training as opposed to
group training. Anybody know of any schools like that in Atlanta.
I got contacted by CRST today also about their school. They are hiring
drivers. After I got off the phone with the representative I came back to
this board and did some reading in the CRST forum. I did not like what I was reading so it looks like I will be passing on them. I'm just not with the
team driving/co-driver concept and low pay. No way! I just want the truck
and me only. Hope I didn't bore you.sibhusky, JustSonny, Baack and 1 other person Thank this. -
Kenkenni, sorry to here that. Hopefully everything will work out for you. Don't know of any private schools in atlanta as I am from wisconsin. I do know that Fox valley tech has a excellent program here. rated in the top ten in the country. there course is ten weeks long for the class A license. And when you are done you graduate with your cdl as part of the coarse. I got my call from Harold today checking to see if I will still be atending class on monday and to see if I have everything reasy to go. I am stoked and cant wait.
JustSonny, kickin chicken and Baack Thank this. -
Kenkenni I hope I have the gumption to do what you did if I find myself behind the learning curve. Much of what I've read here on the forum leads me to believe that, more often than not, new drivers get cranked out before they are prepared to handle these huge rigs or accept the responsibilities that go along with driving. My hat's off to you...you put preparation ahead of $$$.
Baack, kickin chicken and sibhusky Thank this. -
Kenkenni, I also agree with Oldnewbiegonnabe on what he said. Takes alot and says alot about you wanting to be safe and ataying safe. My hat is off to you. like you said keep trying and you will get it down and go far. I hope that you will find the school you are looking for and will be able to join use on the road one day. I hope that I can make it myself.
Baack and kickin chicken Thank this. -
kenkenni good luck man what ever you decide to do. the first week i was there it was a eye opening and humbling experience. i am on my way out tomorrow for the next 3 wks. good luck guys and i'll stay in touch.
