Looks good. The only problem might be lack of work history.
And try to borrow about 400 bucks before you leave for training. You'll be miserable with only $9 in your pocket.
As for picking a company with a school, just go with who will take you. From what I see, none of them are great. -
sorry i should not try too write when im dead tired after long day work sorry everybody
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
i was in a similar situation. i was laid off for about a year and could not find anything in that profession, so i went to my local unemployment office and spoke to someone about my options and trucking was the best fit. he helped get a grant for school and which was the best in my area.
so my sugestion is try the grant route. you dont need good credit. i had claimed bankruptsy before then. goodluck -
It's not just a job . it's an adventure!! actually everyday is !!
go for it. I did it to help a friend out when I was unemployed, and never went back to the office. was a quality control manager ,with a Bach in psyc. -
i was a trainer for an unmentioned school. i know if you are poverty level income you can qualify for a pell grant. i found the training for those students to be better, because the school had to meet state requirements and longer training. the schools dont like these programs because they have to certify the training. some schools will train this program. you are likely to get it when they need students no money avail. good luck

If you can find someone to cosign for the tuition loan, you might find that more doors are open to you.

It's not so bad being "owned" for a year, you get to beat on their equipment while learning so there's that. The pay difference is not that great and you get the comfort of knowing it ONLY gets better from there.

I was in sales too before switching careers. It's the best thing I ever did. I love my job and am making more money than I EVER did in sales. I'm a local LTL guy but just being out there driving and being my own boss for short periods throughout the day make me feel sort of independent and like I have a little freedom, rather than being chained to my desk. You can do it if you want too. I mean why not, right?
