Some type of fast food greasy paper burger joint. Mcdonalds Hardee's etc. It's hard to eat right out here if you can't bring something with you.
Is being fat going to affect me getting a job?

From what I read you can not eat the shakes or bars until after the induction phase which should last at least two weeks. You are supposed to cut out ALL sugar and limit carbs to only 20 grams a day, all of which should come from vegetables. It is not the easiest diet to stick to but sure beats fasting as you're not always starving.Meganleigh Thanks this.

Correct, almost all the bars and shakes used to be phase 2 and up, but now they've pretty much got them all listed as all phases. I personally like the old way but the newer version of the diet makes it easier for most people. There's a huge following of the diet that only goes by the 2002 version because that's the last one Atkins wrote, but the new one is more forgiving. In the end its still faster than any other way of eating YMMV.Meganleigh Thanks this.

I'm sorry but some of these drivers really need to think about their health and life I agree the op that she should be fine base off her height and weight description. But the people who saying they they are 300 plus and don't exercise, bad eating habits are pretty much putting there jobs and lives on the line. The sleep study is only the beginning. The weight limit discrimination is coming soon as well. It's really sad to see men and women struggling to get in an out of the truck. The truckstop food don't help either

It will be intersting if they will get away with legal discrimination of the heavyset. Considering we can not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, etc.

It's coming to be sure. Obama care will see to it that fat people are singled out for fat camp's, and fines for each pound of fat the government deems fit. Fat people will be treated for a disease, that's how it will become legal. Just like forcing the Obola people for treatment. May take a few years, maybe even a decade but fatty fat people will become illegal to drive.
Carry soup on the truck for dinner and you will drop 3 to 4 pounds a week. -
Saw a Prime guy waddling around his truck yesterday. From what's posted here, I am going to assume he gained the weight after he was hired...
-
I thought being overweight was a requirement for a truck driver!
-
The OP will be fine with or without prime,....OTR trucking does pose health problems.... Sitting for hrs is not good for anyone even drivers that are in shape have to watch out for health issues
Instead of going nuts at the TA buffets, go for the salad and walk & workout as much as possible, try to keep your body clock on the same shift or the driver will risk breaking down their emmunity system and get sick easily -
Quick question: why are you so adament about going to work for a big carrier? Why not a small company that would treat you as a human? I see this lot........new drivers thinking they "must" choose the least bad company to go slave away for; rather than choosing the best fit for themselves.Ken Worth Thanks this.
