Those type schools are not only paid by tuition they are paid by referrals. They have contracts set up with a select few and they are usually the bottom of a barrel. You will not be using their job placement unless you like the punishment of the first company. Trucking jobs are a dime a dozen. Resort to your own knowledge and not that of referral grabbing recruiters. The better jobs don't have to advertise. In fact all the advertisements, bonuses and we'll treat you like a king ought to be a red flag. Thanks for giving me a heads up. Once you have a 1-2 years in you can pick where you want to work with a clean record. That great job is right down the road that you never hear advertising.
Is C.R. England a good company to start out with?

If I ran a trucking company and had the choice between someone who went to the $1000 phoenix school and then was trained by a good company, or someone who went to the best community college CDL program in the country but was trained by CRE, I would take the first option without hesitation. -
I have my paper cdl in wyoming. I'm suspicious of CR England because with an on line application I am accepted almost automatically. Want me to come to Dallas for 10 days of training then do 20 to 80,0000 otr with a trainer. I mean, I'm drug and alcohol free, nothing on my record, but it's like they will take anyone?

I was prior military. I started with Roehl and am still with Roehl. We have a ton of prior military working there, it's called the honor program. You get a few extras and a decal on your truck. Extremely nice place to start considering the options out there.
If you are interested you can contact a recruiter. You will want to talk to Alan in the Honor Program if you want more detailed information, just let them know that when you call.
Roehl is way better than CRE. The most you will be doubled up in a truck is 9-14 days when you go out with your trainer. After that you're solo in your own rig. Go out, do your job, and they will leave you alone. For me it's like I don't even have a boss. I let them know what I'm doing and get my loads delivered as requested...they leave me alone and i really like that.Big Duker Thanks this. -
