My son lived in Maryland for about 5 years. Said he was told that is how Maryland teaches it! I dunno. He said it about drove him nuts every time he had to use the freeways.

Tell that to every single container hauler in Jersey. I swear to god their afraid of the right lane. 62mph on flat ground and dead slow on the hills (looking at you musket).

I get really irritated at the ones who take their dear sweet time getting up the on-ramp, enter the highway somewhere between 45-55 MPH without bothering to look for an opening into which to merge, and then accelerate to highway speed after they're already on the highway.

These are usually the same A-holes who are in a big hurry to get into the center lane or the left lane once they get on the freeway, but they're in no hurry to get into the right lane until they're less than 1/4 mile from their exit.

I like to take a different approach than most of you guys. At an on ramp, I move into the acceleration lane. Keeps people on their toes.

You're lucky they go 62 on flat ground up there - in Houston the fast ones go 55. And yes, they are completely allergic to the right lane.
