Is CRST OTR shutting down?

4082 drivers and 4362 trucks. 280 empty trucks? That's 6% or 7% of the fleet empty? Rough math. Im too lazy to calculate...

 

CRST has confirmed an anonymous report that it is shuttering some of its OTR trucking operations.
The article says 4% of it's overall portfolio.

 

Has CRST shut off fuel cards yet

 

They’ll probably have more trucks abandoned from the rumor there closing down then they were planning on relocating. Management going to have a sleepless night

 

When they have 4300 Power Units, the elimination of 200 isn't a large percentage (could be a Writer error?)

 

Did they ever even wash the trucks and trailers? Every time I came up to one it looked like it hasn’t seen a wash in months.

 

I see them every day driving through Las Vegas and they all look clean and well maintained; trucks & trailers.

 

Not that I know of. CRST is unlike Celadon, Arrow and others. They are not highly leveraged.

 

The company said, “In response to the challenging over-the-road market, CRST announced plans today to redistribute much of its Capacity Solutions OTR fleet operations to other business units. This will result in a reduction of nearly 200 trucks from this fleet, and a redeployment of approximately 100 to other growing areas of the business. The Capacity Solutions brokerage service, customers and assets remain unchanged.”
