Well gentlemen (BlackW900 & Coonass), We do utilize drop and hook as a open deck carrier. We have some customers that prefer to load spotted trailers. In other situations, we shag loads back to our yards.

Drop and hook is great as long as you don't pick up that trailer the laziest guy in the fleet had with flats, lights out and holes in the roof and sides which he failed to write up afraid that the company might charge him for the damages thinking no one can figure out he dropped it!

Drop and hook is great for a team! These guys may have a point if you are a single driver.
