Managed to wiggle my way into El Paso to deliver my final TSC load of the week on Thursday morning. Actually, delivering in Lost Causes, NM because the load paid the same as the El Paso delivery, 40+ miles less to drive loaded, and delivered 5 hours eariler.
Anyhow.....
Been watching the load board since yesterday. Haven't been to El Paso in a while, but there was always a decent amount of loads to get a driver out of there and at least back into the Dallas area, possibly Memphis even.
So far, one load has come up. Rate sucked, but I was going to take it anyway once it became available, just to get moving toward Dallas and grab something up to the house.
Nope, that one load disappeared within a minute or so of it becoming active.
Feel like I'm in a forgotten land right now, LOL
Is El Paso always completely dead?

We used to have a drop lot there for cross border but I'm not sure now, that was years ago.

El Paso has got to be the WORST place in the country to be,,specially for a flat
Rather be in Miami,Tacoma,Dover-Foxcroft,Grand Forks,Cour'D'Alene,Or any other Hard Hitter for quality as opposed to El Paso....... -

As far as el paso. I usually get a load out of the mines in new mexico. If they aren't running then i dh to Dallas. Again, i won't go if they rate won't pay for the expected dh. -
It looks and sounds as though El Paso TX is in a very serious economic depression.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
