Is FMCSA open during the shutdown?

    I heard on "Roaddog Radio" yesterday that the FMCSA is not shut down. They are funded out of a trust fund which is paid for through our fuel taxes. So per the radio host "Dave Nemo", they are functioning as normal with the exception of debating new policy changes, as that involves a different pool of money. So from what I understand...most all functions of the FMCSA are not effected by the Govt. shutdown.
