The left half of NC back to TN, flatbed. Have not tried those. The office has final say over what goes. Im a company driver at a micro company, with some latitude.

Uber Freight doesn’t have much or any flatbed freight. They barely have some reefer, which is what I pull. That’s another reason why I don’t use them. Their main focus is local (under 300 miles) and dry van freight.

The problem may be older smartphones or cheaper ones. Newer smartphones are able to connect to more cellular towers.

I guess it depends on where you look. I haul reefer too and have no trouble finding long haul Uber and Convoy loads in the west.

I should specify that the problem isn’t being able to find reefer freight on Uber. They do have some, but it doesn’t compare to the amount of reefer loads posted on DAT. You are able to find better paying loads when there are plenty of loads to select from. On top of that my subscription on DAT allows me extra information such as knowing an average cpm that a particular lane is paying. This helps me know if I’m being ripped off or not.

The short version is that the owner of this truck has let me use it to move most of my shop equipment across the country [in various containers] so i owe him for a good while. If he says "i got a load needs going out," then i roll. If the truck needs wrenching, i wrench. In his shop.

I do own all the tools but dont have a shop built yet. Have pushed a few hundred triaxles of dirt and demo out for it. Maybe 30 more loads and be ready for a slab.

One day at a time. 7 years into it now i think.
