    hell a couple years back I had a traffic jam all the way from NYC to Baltimore. I think it is time for the US to institute population control laws.

    DUDE! HUSH YO' MOUTH!

    We need to tell this newbie the truth;

    Things like the prostitutes on every corner in NYC ready to give you aids and steal your money.

    The tight turns with the cars parked illegally on the corner and the local cop that orders you run the car over and clear his intersection or get ticketed.

    Things like the truckers that need padlocks on their trailer doors to prevent the local gangs from opening the trailer doors at traffic lights and helping themselves to the freight inside!

    The local panhandler that flags you down and tells you "Mr. Truckdriver there is a low bridge on this road but for 20 bucks I will be more than happy to lead you around it!"

    I know these things to be true because a friend of a friends cousin had it happen to HIM! :yes2557:

    Got to keep these newbies out of our backyard cuz. Scare the heck out of 'em and we get to keep our higher paying jobs :biggrin_25514: LOL.

    This did ACTUALLY happen to me in NJ. Three young gang bangers in a beat up Caprice tried that. HOWEVER, I had been to the consignee a few times before and knew they were full of $#!T. They did a u-turn when they realized it was not going to work on me. I attempted to get a license number as they drove away but car did not have a tag anywhere in sight.

    I just spent most of my day driving from eastern Wyoming to Wells Nevada. The northeast seems oh so far away.

    The fact that there is no reason to fear the Northeast has been covered over the last 4 pages. To answer the original question...living in Illinois you should be able to find a company that runs regionally (of has regional routes available).

    You will have challenges in the Midwest...such as the Chicago area. All major metros will have their issues.
