Probably not a bad place to get some experience, home time depends on where you live their moneys always been there, insurance sucks, the drivers are dealing with umr while the woldings themself have the best blue cross blue shield can offer, watch your back cause when you need them, they'll toss you to the wind. their money always comes first.

I have been with HO Wolding for about 11 years now. The company have came along way and always done me right. They recently purchased a few new trucks, a batch of new trailers, and upgraded everyone's medical insurance to the Blue Cross Blue Shield. I would say they are moving in the right direction.

    To 5wire:

Are you still employed with them? I am arriving for orientation in a week and a half and was wondering what your overall opinion of the company is. Also you mentioned an average of 2000-2500 miles a week, is this consistent and would I get that many miles when I have my own truck issued to me? (It's not a lot of miles btw, not complaining though, I'll be happy taking what i can get right away). Thanks for your post and reply if you get this!

Zona have you gotten your training in the cab yet? I have been in contact with HO this week and was wondering what they told you. I am looking at going to their school. They said it wouldn't be running yet for a few weeks.

No actually I'm a recent grad from Roadmaster's in Ohio and recently cleared all of the background/driving checks they require. It can't be understated how important that is because many of the big companies will send you a bus ticket to orientation then show you the door 2 days later when they find some kind of unacceptable discrepancy. It shows me they won't waste your time or theirs by really qualifying you for the job. Anyway, I was trying to get a heads up on things there from one of the drivers on what to expect right out of the gate. I've done a lot of homework on the companies that offered me prehires and HOW seems to be the best choice for what I am looking for.

As a newbie the general consensus is to brace for the inevitable crappy treatment, pay, equipment, etc., all doom and gloom but I really haven't gotten the impression that's the case with Wolding so I chose them. Good luck if you sign on with them, we will probably cross paths and here's to kickin #$$ out there.

So are you going through their driving school? They told me that they needed 3 people to run their school. They said they had one other person and me and were looking for 1 more person to run it. I was wondering if you were the other person they had. What date exactly are you starting?

This sounds like a pretty good company. Their website shows hiring some central area and it looks like northern Arizona. I am going to have to call tomorrow to see if they hire from Utah or Arizona.

Not going to their driving school since I already graduated from a school. I'll be heading straight to orientation followed by time out with a trainer before I get my own truck.

I believe they hire out of a portion of Arizona but not Utah.
