    Unreimbursed work expenses aren’t deductible for any w2 employee regardless of if it’s more than the standard deduction or not.

    No, they are NOT deductible for drivers.

    From the IRS website (Publication 529 (12/2020), Miscellaneous Deductions | Internal Revenue Service)

    Quote:
    Unreimbursed Employee Expenses
    You can no longer claim a deduction for unreimbursed employee expenses unless you fall into one of the following categories of employment, or have certain qualified educator expenses.

    • Armed Forces reservists.

    • Qualified performing artists.

    • Fee-basis state or local government officials.

    • Employees with impairment-related work expenses.
    End quote.

    @Long FLD wins the argument.

    Rideandrepair, Siinman and Bean Jr. Thank this.

    I believe i said most of it went bye bye.

    And I'm not the only one to say.

    So it's actually agreed by a few. Including you.

    Everyone wins. Including you.
