Years ago when i was with Hirschbach. The dispatch let us pick our load destination. At that time we ran a lot to Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas out of terminal in South Sioux City, NE, before they moved to East Dubuque, Illinois. The money was good, enough to make truck payments, maintenance, insurance, and still have some money to send home. I ran ut to California a lot with Hirschbach.
J.C.T i was all over the country. Mainly ran produce out of California to East coast ( No N.Y City). Mainly to New Jersey, Mass, to Florida. They say no forced dispatch for L.P, but is mainly untrue. Dispatcher gets pissed if u turn down a load.

Both were good companies years ago. Back in the day HIrschbach had an east coast division so we never had to see east coast. Now that they have moved. I am unsure how they operate now.

Wow reading some of these comments are very eye opening. Before I got into trucking I used to read negative comments about companies and believed every word. It’s simple lazy drivers who want to spend 16 hours in the sleeper, Stop at every rest area and enjoy the scenery, late on loads all the time, refuse loads, who are very unreliable and doesn’t manage his or her clock very well doesn’t get good load and as a result don’t make any money. I’m a lease purchase driver here at hirschbach currently and I’m averaging 1800-2500 take home after all expenses. Maybe you guys need to keep your #### door closed and get out of the sleeper after your 10 hours and you’ll make money.

You get a driver manager here and you only deal with him/her during the week. Driver managers are awesome. Always available and helpful during the week. Weekend dispatch is another story. Try to avoid dealing with weekend dispatch if you can.
If you run like you should always on time reliable and manage your clock you’ll make money. They have more miles than they do drivers so miles is not a problem. Just tell your driver manager how much miles you want to average and they’ll make it happen. I’m averaging 2700-3500 miles a week with $1800-$2500 take home on the lease purchase side. This is coming from a guy who used to make 500 dollars at usxpress so if I can do it anyone can. Just keep doors closed and only stay in the sleeper 10 hours

Don't do it. When you decide to exercise your walk away option, they hold your last check 45 days.

The last 3 or 4 comments, is what I was looking for, must drivers just complain, and actually don’t do the job, I have year and a half as truck driver. And thinking on join them for a lease program.
Just wanted to know the average on miles and pay stubs, I do not sign a contract without knowing what I’m getting into. Thks for your answers

I can't say about hirshbach but if they are like all the other reefer L/ps you can make money. Like someone else said. It's usually rookie drivers and lazy pos complain about and trash leasing. It's the same thing as being a owner op. I was a owner op I just didn't have a big truck payment. Besides that it's the same god #### thing. Yes you can make money there. Sometimes it's the other persons authority ####ing you out of money and not really the company. It's the dispatch and the loads. When I owned my own truck I didn't make good money at first bc it was their authority. They wanna play games and ####. You make money anywhere as truck driver. Or go work at McDonald's if you can't hack it. go work for them and find out yourself. I'm sure their lease and miles are similar to everyone else.

Company is older than I am most likely Im past 50 heading towards 60 awful fast. (That has no meaning really) So they would know whos a good driver and dispose of the rest. To keep good drivers.

I have no opinion one way or the other. They do not exactly stand out among companies which is not a bad thing when they go about their loads without damage, drama and fiddling.

    Outlaw86 Thanks this.
