I feel like I left out the part that every employee at every single pet food receiver literally hates their job and their life and wants to make sure you do the same. If I ever had a positive experience trying to deliver the #### they ordered I truly can’t remember it. I’m not a negative person or hard to deal with by nature either. I get they have a job to do but rule #1 for them is must be a pole smoker.

Wait time can be a killer. Loading is usually good but you cringe when you roll into a yard and see that 7” auger with the Ritchie Bros sticker on it. Elevators are usually good to unload at (fast, even if there is a line) but feed mills are almost all brutal. Usually old and slow unload systems, and limited storage. I have slept in the truck over the unload grate before because they didn’t have the storage room to empty the trailer entirely even though they ordered the truck..
Yeah no pay for wait times, always $/T here. Rates are poor.

Well as far as the negative things posted on here regarding this field of work, you're going to have your ups and downs everywhere you go I don't care what you're doing there's going to be negative in everything. As far as no pay for wait times and such that doesn't really affect me because my boss always pays me detention pay if I ask for it. I have run into a few people in this line of work that are just as hard to deal with and as unbearable as people in grocery warehouses. But all in all this has been a good experience for me it has definitely been a challenge and that is what I was looking for in a job change.
