About a month ago I was searching on line trucks for sale, I ended up on this web site http://americantruckshowrooms.com/ or American Trucks Showrooms. Their store are both in Newnan, GA and Gulfport, MS. - They have some pretty nice truck in there. But here it is their plan:
- Most of the truck you can lease putting down some amount between $5,500.00 to $8,500.00, and then negotiate the monthly pay, which will be between 24 to 36 months.
- No credit needed, no credit checked; no need for cosigner
- Most of their trucks are Volvo, Peterbilts, some Freightliners and International.
- On the end of the lease contract you can buy the truck, and the down payment would be applied toward the purchase; the purchase price would be the NADA Truck pricing for the time you finish the lease.
You can read more on their website above.
Now, all of you O/O and L/O out there, is it a good idea? have you heard of these guys?
They are not brokers trying to sell or lease someone's else truck. But they actually have the trucks right there at their yard, I went there.
Please give me some insight about this. Thanks!!![]()
Is it a good idea to get a truck with ATS?

So you put down money, lease 2-3 years and then pay fair market value? I'd run!

For the same down payment you can get a nice truck from Arrow Truck Sales on a lease from Transport Funding. My lease is a 45 month lease at $1244/mo with a $1000 buy out in the end. I have a 2007 Volvo 780 I bought 2 years ago, and I've had no unusual problems with it. Arrow fixed everything on my gripe list before I picked up the truck, and all has been good.
I'd stay far away from that other place. They sound like a rip off for sure.
