How much do you charge for a flatbed load from Mobile, AL to Pittsburgh, PA?

If you can’t answer @rch10007 question before you get your MC means you are not ready to set out on your own yet.

If you have to ask then the answer is no. I'm still thriving with more work than I can imagine, but I live in a rural market and I have a good reputation. If you're just another guy with a truck on the spot market you're gonna have a bad time.

I personally have no idea as my numbers are old and paused or inactive since I’m leased on to a carrier but I did talk to a guy who recently got his numbers a couple months ago and says he has a lot of pushback from brokers not wanting to load him

Now I would also assume a lot of this will depend on your equipment and location
Maybe refer is harder or easier than a van type scenario?

I can tell you this. Can you make it? Yes. But, the market the way it is right now you better be planning on running lanes no one else wants. If staying on the road for 10-17 days at a time is something that you can handle then that will give you a higher chance of making it right now. If you need to be home every weekend like me. You will have to really watch your numbers. It also has a lot to do with where you live and run out of. There are plenty of brokers out there. Landstar, TQL have some good paying loads and they have a whole lot of garbage. They will load you day one though. If you are an O/O leased to a carrier that is keeping you moving at decent rates I’d probably stay there until at least March 2023 to see how this oil market is going to shake out after the midterm elections.
